A TIP worker had a fright when he found three guns and a combat knife dumped in one of the waste skips in Brighton Road, Shoreham on Tuesday (July 8).
He took them to Shoreham police station because he was worried that they were real.
Christian Dior Watch ReplicaThe replica guns were an American M16, an British Army assault rifle, a handgun which looked like a Colt 45, 20 rounds of spent ammunition and a hunting-type knife.
The police will now dispose of them safely. Shoreham police acting inspector Jason Williams said: "We ask that people don't dump these sort of things at the tip even if they are replica or toys one. They should take them to their local police station where staff can dispose of them properly."
The Shoreham tip was closed for hours in May by police when a hand grenade and live World War One shells were dumped there.
The bomb disposal unit from Aldershot was called and they took away at the ordnance, some of which was live, for safe disposal.
