Pippa Funnel clinched her third Badminton win at the weekend on the fantastic Primmore's Pride.
The horse is the first to take all three 4* titles by winning the Mitsubish Motors Badminton Trophy, having already secured wins Louis Vuitton Fake Handbags at Burghley and Kentucky in 2003 as part of Pippa's Rolex Grand Slam.
Pippa led Badminton from the start, but had to fight off fierce competition from the defending champion William Fox-Pitt on Tamarillo, who finished in second place only 1.6 penalties behind Pippa.
Andrew Hoy, riding Master Monarch came third, his highest placing at Badminton despite having success at other major 4* events, including a win at Burghley. Andrew has been trying for a top Badminton placing since 1979 and was thrilled with his performance.
In fourth place was Andrew Nicholson on Lord Killinghurst, and took the record with the most Badminton completions in the process. After his successful finish this weekend, Andrew has now beaten Lorna Clarke's record after his 23rd Badminton completion.
